About the Ministry
In His Footprints Children’s Ministry was established in 2026 by Lorie and Tommy Cox of Restoration Church in Wytheville, Virginia.
The vision and mission of this ministry were inspired by an experience shared by the founders more than six years ago at a county-wide back-to-school event. During the event, they witnessed children excitedly removing their worn shoes, discarding them in nearby trash bins, and proudly putting on new donated shoes they had received. The children's gratitude and radiant smiles left a lasting impression and deeply touched their hearts.
From that moment forward, the purpose of this ministry remained close to them, especially as they felt called to serve in this way. After years of prayer, reflection, and preparation, the ministry has finally come to life.
Belief:
Every child is created in the image of God with inherent dignity, purpose, and worth. We are called to serve others as the hands and feet of Christ, following His example of love, compassion, and care.
Mission:
To demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing shoes and essential support to children in need, empowering them to walk in dignity, confidence, and hope.
Vision:
To see every child equipped, valued, and supported—walking confidently into their future, knowing they are loved, seen, and never alone.
